Braga have been in scintillating home form and can make trouble for the Portuguese champions tonight, says Tobias Gourlay
"Braga are W8-D0-L1 at their Municipal Stadium this season"
Braga v Benfica
Saturday 20:30 (Live on FreeSports)
A second 1-0 defeat for Malaga in five days gave us a second winner at their expense.
We're crossing the border into Portugal today. Tonight's big game from the Primeira Liga pits third-placed Benfica - the four-time reigning champions - at fourth-placed Braga. Right now, we don't think the gap between them is as big as the prices suggest. Benfica are only three points ahead of their hosts, but will go off as favourites.
Rui Vitoria's visitors are W5-D3-L1 away from home this season. Against teams now in the top half, that record slips to W2-D3-L1. Seventh-placed Chaves, who are just W3-D4-L2 at home, are the best team they've beaten on the road.
Braga are W8-D0-L1 at their Municipal Stadium this season. They've won seven in a row since losing 1-0 to Porto way back in August. Home and away, the Archbishops are W10-D1-L1 since September and we fancy they can bring down the Eagles this evening.
