Bet 1: Back Everton to beat Arsenal at 7/5

Everton's return to the top table of English football has been long prophesised, but it may finally be coming true under Carlo Ancelotti and they can mark another milestone on the road with victory over Arsenal on Saturday.

The Merseysiders have come through a sticky patch to record impressive wins over Chelsea and Leicester and Saturday's opponents aren't at that level right now.

Arsenal celebrated a point against Southampton in midweek but a record of three goals in six Premier League games means that the Everton defence should have little to fear this weekend and Carlo's men look a solid bet for the three points.

Bet 2: Back Hobart Hurricanes to beat Melbourne Renegades at 4/5

There are few better opening partnerships in Twenty20 cricket than Shaun Marsh and Aaron Finch, but the Melbourne Renegades' star duo lack support and that makes them vulnerable against Hobart this weekend.

Last time out, Marsh and Finch were dismissed cheaply and the Renegades folded chasing a big total against the Sixers.

The Hurricanes have a big gun of their own in D'Arcy Short, but more importantly, they have useful contributors throughout the middle and lower order, which makes them a far more reliable bet here.

Bet 3: Back Sale Sharks to beat Edinburgh at 1/4

Both these clubs lost their opening European Champions Cup ties but despite their off-field problems, Sale look the better bet to pick up their first win.

There was no shame in suffering defeat against French powerhouses Toulon at the Stade Mayol and Saturday's task looks considerably easier as they take on an Edinburgh side that slipped to a home defeat against La Rochelle in their opener.

That loss continued a run of poor form for Richard Cockerill's men who have lost five of their seven matches in the Pro14 so far this season, so I'm backing Sale to edge out their UK rivals and get some points on the board.
