Can Darren Moore take the Owls back into the Championship?

It's all about goals in League One for Paul Robinson this afternoon, as he has picked out three matches where he thinks both teams will score.

  • Port Vale to keep the goals flowing at home.
  • Shrews to find the net at Hillsborough.
  • More goals for Morecambe.

Bet 1: Back BTTS in Port Vale v Charlton 3/4 - KO 15:00 GMT

The hosts need to bounce back from two defeats - one in the league and one in the FA Cup, and while they have a tricky opponent today, I expect them to at least score.

Port Vale have found the net in five of their last six at home, but with just one clean sheet of their own during that period, four of the half dozen saw this selection land.

The Addicks are unbeaten in five, and it's just one defeat in 10 in all competitions. Their last away match was a six goal thriller at Burton, and five of their last seven on the road have had goals at both ends.

Bet 2: Back BTTS in Sheff Wed v Shrewsbury @ 11/10 - KO 15:00 GMT

The Owls are third in League One, just five points adrift of Plymouth at the top. They are unbeaten in six in the league - winning on four occasions.

Clean sheets at Hillsborough have been a bit of a rarity though, and BTTS backers have collected in four of their last five on this ground.

The Shrews are down in 14th, but it's the goal-side of things that interests me, and four of their five most recent outings have seen both teams score.

Bet 3: Back BTTS in Lincoln v Morecambe @ 9/10 - KO 15:00 GMT

Lincoln picked up a creditable point in a 1-1 draw with leaders, Plymouth, last weekend, and that built on their 1-3 away success at Bristol City in the League Cup.

Those scorelines mean that three of their last four have seen this selection land, and it's worth noting that their last three here have all finished 1-1.

Morecambe have also had their fair share of 1-1 draws of late, with their last three in the league all ending that way. They have also had six of their last seven on the road end with both teams finding the net.
