Goalscoring Re-swan-sibility

The fact that Swansea are odds on to win vs Reading reflects the fact that traders see a gulf in class between the teams that's not demonstrated by the current league table.

Swansea have won 3 of their last 4 at home and have been trending in the right direction since the start of September. Reading have lost 4 of 6 away from home, conceding 11. They generally defend in solid shape but once they are behind they have the propensity to fall apart - in the 7 games in which they've conceded first, they've conceded a total of 16 goals.

After such a strong end to last season, we've not seen the best of Michael Obafemi this season. Distracted and derailed by transfer speculation, Obafemi's underlying numbers of 0.12 xG per 90, compared to 0.50 xG per 90 last season, shows that something has not quite been right.

But Joel Piroe's three game suspension means this is the time for Obafemi to step up. For this fixture, he will undeniably be the main man up front, the team's main goal threat. In a team that creates plenty, the 5/2 price feels generous.

When Obafemi scores once, he often scores twice. He finished last season scoring in 6 of the last 14 games, and on three of those six occasions he bagged a brace - the 14/1 to score 2 or more goals appeals.

Davis The Hungry Hornet

Keinan Davis wasn't match fit when he arrived at Watford on loan from Aston Villa, but since the start of September, Hornets fans have seen what those who watched him play for Nottingham Forest last season already knew: a fit Keinan Davis is a huge problem for Championship defences.

Davis has scored 3 goals in his last 4 starts, and has racked up 0.59 xG per 90 since start of September, leading the league in that time. He is the complete package - a mixture of skill and power that makes him dangerous both with back to goal and receiving between the lines on the turn.

Davis should be considered among the best strikers in the division, and in a few months time he may well be competing for the Golden Boot - so for him to be available at this price feels generous.

For fans of random statistical quirks - Watford's record live on TV this season is P6 W5 D1 L0, whereas they've not won a single untelevised game. This one is on the box on Wednesday night...

If you like the sound of those goalscorers, the double pays more just over 13/1.
