Tottenham are 5-2 down going into the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie against Ateltico Madrid and the Betfair Sportsbook does not fancy the hosts' chances of pulling off a miracle. Spurs are 14/115.00 to qualify while Atletico are 1/80 to reach the last eight.
Since their drubbing in Madrid, Spurs earned a point at Anfield in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Liverpool, bringing to an end a run of four consecutive defeats in all competitions under manager Igor Tudor. Whether that was a good result for Tudor, because it keeps him in the job, or Spurs, who are now stuck with him for a bit longer, or both remains to be seen. Either way, Spurs' priority is to avoid relegation from the Premier League. They are one point above the dropzone and 9/43.25 to go down.
In Champions League history, there have been 51 occasions of a team losing the first leg of a knockout stage tie by 3+ goals. Only four of those have progressed to the next round, most recently Liverpool against Barcelona in the 2018-19 semi-final (0-3 away, 4-0 home). Spurs will give this a go, though, and the signs are that we should expect goals again. With seven in the first leg, neither side is up to much defensively, so with that in mind, let's get started.
Bet #1 - Back Over 3.5 goals
The Stat
Tottenham have scored 19 goals in their nine Champions League matches this season while for Atletico the number is 22 in nine. Both teams know where the net is, when it comes to this competition at least, so we are prepared to back over 3.5 goals at odds-against here.

Bet #2 - Back Tottenham to win the match
The Stat
Tottenham have won all four of their UEFA Champions League home games this season by an aggregate score of 10-0. Only three times has a side won their first five without conceding in a single campaign - Deportivo de La Coruña in 2003-04, and Real Madrid in both 2010-11 and 2015-16.
While that stat could make it tempting to back Spurs to record another victory to nil, we cannot trust them, so instead we will merely back them to salvage some pride and win on the night.

Bet #3 - Back Alvarez and Solanke in score double
The Stat
Julián Alvarez has been involved in 10 UEFA Champions League goals this season (7 goals, 3 assists), the most ever by an Atlético Madrid player in a single campaign. The Argentinian scored twice and assisted another in the first leg against Spurs.
For Spurs, despite only starting once, Dominic Solanke has scored in all three of his UEFA Champions League games for Tottenham Hotspur. With Betfair offering punters Bet £10 Get £10 you could combine Alvarez and Solanke in a goalscorer double.
