Will Julen Lopetegui have something to celebrate when Sevilla take on Red Bull Salzburg?

Sevilla's match was postponed over the weekend and Dan Fitch thinks the extra rest will help them to win their Champions League game against Red Bull Salzburg.

"The hosts won both of their first two home group games last season, before being defeated by the eventual Champions League winners Chelsea."

Hosts given impromptu break

Sevilla have the advantage of being extra fresh for this match, having been granted an opportunity to rest at the weekend.

Julen Lopetegui's team had their match against Barcelona postponed by La Liga, due to the unavailability of players who had been involved in South American qualification games. Sevilla have made an unbeaten start to the season, beating Rayo Vallecano and Getafe without conceding, before drawing 1-1 with Elche.

Red Bull Salzburg have been typically dominant in Austria this season, winning all seven of their matches in the Bundesliga, which includes a 3-1 win at WSG Tirol on Saturday. Now managed by the German coach Matthias Jaissle, Salzburg had to come through the play-offs to reach the group stage, winning both legs 2-1 against Brondby.

Amongst the players that Red Bull sold in the summer, include Patson Daka who joined Leicester for €30m and Enock Mwepu, who went to Brighton for €23m. As ever, the conveyer belt of youthful talent at the club, continues to produce. The 19-year old German striker Karim Adeyemi has stepped up to ease the pain of losing Daka, scoring seven goals in 10 appearances.

Sevilla will continue unbeaten start

Sevilla are the favourites to win at 1.75/7, with the draw at 4.03/1 and Red Bull Salzburg at 4.94/1.

The hosts won both of their first two home group games last season, before being defeated by the eventual Champions League winners Chelsea. Salzburg were beaten home and away by Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich, with their only points coming in their games against Lokomotiv Moscow (W1 D1).

With Salzburg having been weakened over the summer, Sevilla should have too much class. Back the home side to win at 1.75/7.
