Will Christophe Galtier still be smiling after PSG's match with Juventus?

"Though the hosts obviously have to be favoured, Juventus are by far the strongest opposition that they’ve faced this season."

Back Mbappe to score and both PSG and Juventus to score at 2.915/8

Dan Fitch thinks that Juventus could make life tougher for PSG than the odds suggest, but is backing Kylian Mbappe to continue his scoring streak.

PSG progress faces stern test

Perhaps the pick of Tuesday's Champions League fixtures is PSG's match with Juventus in Group H.

PSG have hit the ground running and are top of Ligue 1 after six games (W5 D1). At the weekend they won 3-0 at Nantes, in a game in which Kylian Mbappe scored twice and Neymar was rested for this fixture.

Christophe Galtier has elected to play with a 3-4-3 formation this season, as he attempts to find the right balance and select a front three of Neymar, Mbappe and Lionel Messi. The early signs are that Galtier is dealing with this issue more successfully than his predecessor Mauricio Pochettino was able to, with all three of his star forwards starting the season in fine form.

Yet though the signs have been promising in Ligue 1, it's the Champions League that will provide the toughest test. Juventus drew 1-1 at Fiorentina at the weekend and are unbeaten this season (P5 W2 D3). Dusan Vlahovic struggled to maintain form after joining from Fiorentina midway through last season, but he's started this campaign brightly, with four goals from as many games.

Match could be tighter than odds suggest

PSG are the short favourites at 1.384/11, with the draw at 5.69/2 and Juventus at 9.08/1.

Though the hosts obviously have to be favoured, Juventus are by far the strongest opposition that they've faced this season. The goal that Juve conceded at the weekend, was only the second that they've let in over five games.

It might be wise to ignore the result in this one, as it could well be tighter than the odds suggest. Mbappe has scored seven goals in five games this season and if you combing the French forward scoring with both teams to score, you get a price of 2.915/8.
