Juve and Allegri dare not taste defeat
Juventus will be looking for another win when they travel to Maccabi Haifa, as they try to get their Champions League campaign back on track.
Last week Juve beat Maccabi Haifa 3-1 at home, which was their first win in Group H, having first lost away at PSG and then at home to Benfica. The Italian giants find themselves four points behind those two sides, so a victory in this fixture would seem vital if they are to stand any chance of making the knockout stages.
A sub-plot in this game is the future of the Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri. A 2-0 defeat away at AC Milan over the weekend, ramped up the pressure on Allegri. Failure to win this match could see the patience shown to Allegri come to an end, with his side currently eighth in Serie A.
Maccabi Haifa have predictably become to whipping boys in a very tough group, losing all three of their games. They are top of the Ligat Ha'al table, but have lost two of their last three league games, which includes a 1-0 defeat at Maccabi Bnei Raina over the weekend.
Old Lady may continue to leak
Juventus are the favourites at 1.834/5, with the draw at 3.929/10 and Maccabi Haifa out at 4.94/1.
In almost any other season, that would represent a very chunky price for Juventus, against opposition that they would be almost guaranteed to beat. In this season however, you may consider this bet to be a risk and require a bigger price to back the away win.
With Maccabi Haifa having scored in the reverse fixture, backing a Juventus win and both teams to score could be the way to go at 3.613/5. Juve have now conceded in seven of their last eight games.
