Man Utd have a real fight to finish top 4

You can see the shift in dynamics for Manchester United from Michael Carrick's press conferences. Every other club around them has spent big in the transfer window. United brought a few in, but in terms of positions, they're light up front.

They've not got enough quality up front to be dangerous. I know they spent a lot of money on Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbuemo, but they lack a top forward.

Certainly defensively they needed to strengthen, especially in the left-back position. They're just an okay team and I think they'll have a real fight to get into the top four.

If Haaland stays he'll break my record

I'm not sure anyone can stop Erling Haaland. He scored two goals on Tuesday evening and on another night, he could have had four or five. He would have been thinking: "I should have had four or five."

The more I watch him, the more I think he can get 40 or 45 goals because what City create is brilliant. I am sat there thinking: "Wow, it must be amazing to play in a team like this with the chances they create."

Haaland has signed a long contract and, if he stays the number of years that he is contracted to, then he'll break my record. I'm a huge fan of Haaland.

As I said, I'd love to play in a team like City. I would get 40 or 50 goals in a season as well, like he is getting. He's a a brilliant goal scorer.

Alan Shearer's Prediction - Man Utd can give Man City a game on Sunday

Man Utd always step up. They always sort of puff their chest out when the odds are against them. Other than Man Utd fans, most people would think City are a better team, but Man Utd always seem put in a good performance against them at Old Trafford.

It wouldn't surprise me to see the same thing again on Sunday, where every Man Utd player increases their performance level 10 per cent.

On paper City should win but there's a part of me that thinks because of the atmosphere, because of Man Utd and because of everything else, it'll be a lot closer than we expect. So I'm going to predict a score draw at Old Trafford on Sunday.
