Timeform run the rule over the field for the Cleanevent Pavilion Stakes (Listed) (1)...
Plenty of potential on show here and the race should prove informative. The form of the Timeform Million at Newmarket last October has proved solid and it could be worth siding with Nasri, who could give it yet another boost now back in trip on a sounder surface. Damien and Elnawin are 2 of a number of others to consider in what looks a hot race.
Elnawin was a money-spinner for the stable in 2008 and still has potential over sprint trips. He failed to see out seven-furlongs but ran respectably all the same when second at Lingfield on his return. He is one to consider.
Magic Cat showed marked improvement last summer to win a minor event at Ripon and a listed race at Ayr, both over five-furlongs. He shapes as though he'll stay this trip and he may have more to offer this year.
Total Gallery did really well last season, ending the campaign with success in the Two-Year-Old Trophy at Redcar over this trip. He still has potential to do better still and can't be discounted with all going seemingly coming alike.
Damien's best efforts as a two-year-old came over this trip when second in a big-field sales race at Doncaster and he was not beaten far in Group 2 next time. He should be all the better for his reappearance and is a big player.
Enderby Spirit improved through 2008, rounding off the campaign with a creditable second in a listed event. He shaped as though needing the run but was a bit disappointing all the same on his return, and others make more appeal here.
Five Star Junior made giant strides since joining his current stable and continued his progress when second at Kempton last month. He needs to prove himself effective on turf but is certainly no back number if he does.
Jobe was highly tried after winning his maiden and was a good third in a Group 2 on his third start. He was disappointing on his reappearance and is best watched this time.
Marine Boy looked good when making a winning debut at Newbury and wasn't disgraced when upped to Group 2 company thereafter. His stamina was stretched but he still ran respectably on his return and a better showing looks forthcoming.
Nasri progressed well last summer, the highlight of his efforts coming when third in sales race at Newmarket - one of the strongest form lines of 2008. he struggled in the mud again on his return and is worth another chance.
Kerry's Requiem was highly tried with some respectability following a win in a five-furlong minor event at Windsor last June. This looks an altogether more difficult assignment, however, and she appears vulnerable.
