The horseracing experts at Timeform have three tips for Sunday's racing at Pontefract and Brighton including a Wicket bet on the South coast...

15:05, Pontrefract - Revoir can build on promising return

This looks a competitive renewal of this listed event, but Ralph Beckett has won the last two renewals, and his Revoir comes out top on Timeform weight-adjusted ratings.

She hasn't managed to win since her successful debut at Nottingham at the end of 2024, but she had plenty of solid efforts to her name in listed and pattern company last year, notably finishing a close third in a Group 3 at Newmarket.

Revoir ran a cracker on her return in an above-average listed race at Haydock last month, too, that effort all the more encouraging considering she found herself in front some way out in a well-run affair. The return of cheekpieces, along with this step back up in trip, are sure to suit, and she has rock-solid claims.

15:56, Brighton - The Wicked Wolf well treated for handicap debut

The Wicked Wolf didn't show much on his debut at Windsor last September, but he showed the benefit of that experience when placed over seven furlongs at Chelmsford next time.

He progressed further to open his account at the third attempt returned to a mile at Bath when last seen in October, and he did well on that occasion to run down the front runner who didn't set overly fast fractions from the rear of the field.

The Wicked Wolf has been gelded since, and the handicapper may have taken a chance with his opening mark of 70. Indeed, he's 6lb clear on Timeform weight-adjusted ratings, and promises to be well suited by this step up in trip. There's plenty to like about his chances in a first-time hood.

16:56, Brighton - Rogue Bullet interesting on debut for James Owen

Rogue Bullet showed fairly useful form as a juvenile, but he improved a little on that when opening his account on his return over this course and distance last season.

He largely held his form well afterwards, taking another step forward when recording a second career success in a five-furlong handicap at Windsor around this time last year.

Rogue Bullet wasn't at his best on his recent return at Bath, but shaped like one who was in need of the run, and he's since made an interesting trainer switch to James Owen, who is excellent with new recruits. He's down to a fair mark based on his Windsor win and looks most interesting of these.
