Queen Anne Stakes 14:30, Royal Ascot - More Thunder can reverse Lockinge form

It looks a cracking renewal of the Queen Anne Stakes and this track should suit More Thunder's style of racing better than Godolphin pair Notable Speech and Opera Ballo and he's taken to exact some revenge on the former.

He finished second to Notable Speech on his seasonal return in the Lockinge Stakes at Newbury last month, but that was a very encouraging run on his first start at a mile, proving himself more than capable of holding his own at the top level.

More Thunder progressed markedly as a four-year-old, graduating out of handicap company in style when winning the Hungerford Stakes at Newbury and having excuses in the Foret afterwards.

He seems sure to come on for his latest run, where he was strong at the finish, and the stiff nature of Ascot's straight mile will very much suit his style of racing.

St James' Palace Stakes 16:20, Royal Ascot - Bow Echo sets a high standard on form

It looks an above-average set of three-year-old milers this year and Bow Echo proved himself one of the best about since Kingman with an excellent performance in the 2000 Guineas on his return.

He was most progressive as a juvenile, winning all three of his starts, and found considerable improvement when stretching his unbeaten record to four last month, producing a top-class effort as he proved much too good for the reopposing Gstaad at Newmarket.

That was one of the best modern-day performances in the 2000 Guineas and Gstaad has franked the form since by winning the Irish version. There should be plenty more to come from Bow Echo and he's hard to oppose.

Copper Horse Stakes 18:10, Royal Ascot - Valiancy looks a big player

Valiancy won a strong three-year-old handicap over this trip at Haydock on his final start last season and he confirmed he's not finished improving yet when defying a 7lb higher mark over slightly shorter on his return at Hamilton last month.

He was strong in the betting on that occasion and he found plenty in the closing stages to be well on top at the line.

Valiancy shaped like a horse who will be very much suited by a return to this longer distance and, still unexposed, he looks a big player for this following an 8lb rise in the weights, just the type to develop into a pattern-class stayer this year.
