Correct score backed at [100.0] as Reds come from behind against Wigan. Joe Dyer reports on the betting highlights of a dramatic day in the Premier League...
What Liverpool fans wouldn't give for a straightforward 1-0 win.
Thirteen days after their dramatic 3-2 win at Eastlands, Rafa Bentiez's men repeated that rarely seen scoreline to keep up with Chelsea at the top of the table while also rewarding correct score backers at odds of [100.0] on Betfair.
Layers remain unconvinced of the Anfield club's Premier League chances with Liverpool available at [7.8] for the title. Chelsea and manchester United are [2.0] and [3.35] respectively.
A late flurry of goal sealed the win and saw five goals or more matched at 22 on the exchange while the match odds market proved a trader's dream with the draw backed at a low of [1.51], Wigan at [1.67] and Liverpool drift to [10.5].
The Wigan/Liverpool halftime/fulltime result was a [42.0] chance.
Earlier in the day Chelsea hammered Middlesbrough 5-0, over 4.5 goals touched [21.0] during the rout.
Arsenal touched 3.2 to win when 1-0 down to Everton at The Emirates. Goals from Samir Nasri, Robin van Persie and Theo Walcott secured three points for the Gunners. Over 3.5 goals was backed at [5.0] before the England striker's late effort.
A trio of 0-0s rounded off the 3pm kick-offs with high prices matched in the correct score market and low prices in the total goals betting.
Nil-all was backed at [17.0] as Aston Villa hosted Portsmouth, while one goal or more traded at [1.06].
Goals were not expected at Bolton , where 0-0 traded at [12.5] for Blackburn's visit. One goal or more was backed at a low of [1.09].
It was a similar story at Fulham where the correct score was backed at [12.0] and one goal or more at [1.1] as the home team played a 0-0 draw with Sunderland.
