Belarusians pegged back by Juve in dramatic Champions League fixture. Plus all the rest of the betting news from Tuesday night's fixtures...
BATE Borisov pulled off the shock result of the night in Tuesday's Champions League fixtures - but it could have been so much better for the Group H underdogs.
A total of £10,604 was traded at odds of [1.01] on Betfair for the Belarusian champions to hold the half-time advantage over Juventus after the home team eased into a 2-0 lead. But the the Italian giants fought back through an Iaquinta double, squaring matters with a 48th minute injury-time leveller.
That took the scores to 2-2 which was how the match finished - a result that will have the disappointed backers of over 4.5 goals at [1.2] following that first-half flurry.
BATE were backed at a low of [1.55] in the match odds when holding the 2-0 first-half advantage and Juve at [1.37] pre-kickoff. The draw touched [5.9] on Betfair.
In the other matches Arsenal dispelled the memory of that Hull City defeat by destroying Porto 4-0. The any unquoted scoreline was matched at [18.5] while the home team touched [1.71] in the match odds.
Manchester United had a similarly easy time of it in Denmark where they beat Aalborg 3-0. United were matched at [1.43] in the match odds market and the 3-0 final score backed at [10.5].
Celtic's chances of progression look doomed. Their 1-0 defeat at Villareal leaves qualification looking decidedly shaky and they have drifted to [350.0] to win the competition.
In the match betting, under 1.5 goals was backed at [4.4] and Villareal at [2.26] to win the game.
