Evens England stutter to opening win of new era

The Tottenham midefielder's late strike in the first half hit backers of the halftime draw who took a price of [1.26] and the 0-0 HT scoreline at [1.3].

It was a hesitant performance from Gerrard and co. and one which nearly saw an upset in the capital.

England opened the match at [1.43] and were backed at a low of [1.13] when 1-0 ahead in the second half only for Switzerland to pull one back. The home team reached a high of evens on the exchange before Shaun Wright-Phillips scored the winner.

In other internationals Brazil hit a high of [2.9] in-running when beating Republic of Ireland 1-0. Punters expecting a goal-fest backed two goals or more at [1.33].

Wales - high of [3.9] - made light work of Norway. A late Jason Koumas will have delighted backers of the 3-0 scoreline at a high of [70.0].

The draw was matched at a low of [1.35] before Spain scored a late winner to beat France 1-0.
