Thursday Racing Tips: Key Timeform data for a pair of 'Horses In Focus' as well as a fancy in the Ballyroan Stakes

Sarangpur has thrived since joining Richard Hughes from Ireland, winning three of his four starts. 

The Timeform 'Horse In Focus' had to make his own running which didn't suit when second at Kempton on his penultimate start, but moved very easily off the pace when scoring at Newbury last month. 

 A 4 lb rise looks very fair for his latest success, and he is fancied to score again with Nibras Gold likely to ensure that this isn't run at a dawdle.

Preference is for Catching Dreams, who finished with a flourish but was unable to peg back a more experienced rival that got first run at Lingfield just under two weeks ago.  

The Timeform 'Horse In Focus' is the third foal of 5f/6f winner Chasing Dreams, a very speedy mare who won her first two starts for Charlie Appleby back in 2019. 

With improvement on the cards, the Showcasing colt can defy his wide draw and get the better of Elevating who seemed stretched by seven furlongs last week and drops to the minimum trip for the first time.

Ethical Diamond hasn't been at his best on either start this year but can take advantage of this marked drop in class (escapes a penalty). 

The six-year-old is 7 lb clear of his rivals on Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings and the last time he teamed up with Ryan Moore the pair won the Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes at Royal Ascot by a couple of lengths. 

He went on to win the Ebor Handicap at York, and then the Breeders' Cup Turf at Del Mar, so has a definite class edge on stablemate Gaucher, Hampton Court Stakes runner-up Endorsement, and course winner Green Impact.
