Any 145k purchase for the Joseph O'Brien team will catch the eye and this lad was particularly eye-catching debut in what was a decent Curragh maiden.

He travelled in rear that day as most of the stables' debutants do before picking up nicely and tracking the leaders home in a close third. The yard's strike rate with maidens on their second time up is exceptional and this well-bred colt fits the bill of another who should come on for that run and shed his maiden tag here.

Speakers Corner will pose the biggest threat, however his poor run last time out means he has a lot to prove. Churchill Bond for Paddy Twomey is another with decent form in the book, but he will have to improve from his first three runs to win here.

A horse who relishes cut in the ground has his ideal conditions to go one better than his last run at Cork. He has fallen down the weights this year after a number of below par runs but most of those came on good ground and his return to form on a softer surface was no surprise. He was terribly unlucky that day just failing to catch a runaway leader who got first run.

Highbury See See is well drawn to go well and Andrew Slattery should be able to get him nice and prominent to grab a deserved victory. His last winning mark was 74 so running here off 72 should have him very well handicapped.
