Sam Turner has two tips for Wednesday

Betfair tipster Sam Turner returns fresh from a winning 17/1 double on Sunday with two selections for racing on Wednesday...

  • Find the profitable Way with Dubai

  • Return to course and distance should suit

  • Side with Tea to make his mark at Ludlow

Lingfield, 13:35 - Back Way To Dubai each-way @ 13/53.60

A drop in class and a step up in trip could see Way To Dubai shed his all-weather maiden tag at the 15th time of asking in this Class 5 handicap.

It has been a long time between drinks for Mick Appleby's son of Holy Roman Emperor with the last victory achieved in his native Germany back in the summer of 2023.

Two UK trainers have attempted to win a race with the six-year-old who spent his formative months on these shores with Charlie Fellowes in Newmarket before switching to Appleby who rarely fails to win with a horse of this nature.

Although the selection's winless sequence is becoming lengthy, he has posted two or three creditable efforts since the start of November, not least when last encountering today's course and distance three starts ago when he failed by a diminishing neck to beat Penelope Valentine.

A recent spin over six furlongs behind trail-blazing stablemate Counsel who made all to score readily should have put him straight for the return to seven furlongs and he ought to be on the scene again from a reasonable draw.

Ludlow, 15:30 - Back High Tea @ 6/52.20

The October novice hurdle at Chepstow won by Masked Man has worked out exceptionally well with six of the first nine across the line winning subsequently, including High Tea who appears to have leading claims in this Lorna Brooke Memorial Cup.

The sizeable son of Mount Nelson made little mistake winning on his handicap bow at Chepstow, powering clear of subsequent Uttoxeter scorer Analiese to score by four lengths under minimal persuasion.

A Perfect Day, further adrift in third at Chepstow, provided further ballast for the form with a smooth Lingfield success on Saturday and, although the handicapper had his say for High Tea's decisive victory by raising the selection 13lb, he still appeals as the type to leave his new mark behind given his confirmation and substance.

The one minor concern I have is the tightness of the venue, however High Tea goes up in trip which may compensate and his stable have shrewdly snapped up the excellent Gina Andrews to partner the selection.
