Rachael Blackmore on Theatre Native
Here's a summary of Rachael's comment on Theatre Native which have been edited and condensed for clarity.
"She is a very forward-going mare and red hood at the start to try to keep her as relaxed as possible.
"As we jumped off, she was in my hands straight-away, very keen throughout the race. There was no stage when she stopped pulling at me. She was not the nicest of rides.
"I tried to stay relaxed and keep my hands down, neither of which I did. I was trying to stop her from winging any hurdles.
"The field was quite tightly packed and the people around me probably were not happy with me. It is not nice when you are riding around a horse that is not settled.
"Eventually, I let her go forward for two or three strides.
"It was quite a messy ride. But she is a mare with so much ability and think they way she came up the straight and won on tough ground showed that.
"She was back on track here, after pulling up at Clonmel, and hopefully this is the start of a very good career for her."
