Betfair ambassador Paul Nicholls provides the Friday morning update on the Team Ditcheat runners at Chepstow and Kempton this Saturday...

Kalif Du Berlais is this Saturday's star turn for Team Ditcheat and runs in the Adonis Juvenile Hurdle at Kempton.

In his Friday morning update, Paul said:

"We have always liked him and he was very good on his first run for the yard over this course and distance. He seems to be in great shape, he won't mind the ground tomorrow and the 5lb penalty he is carrying should not be a problem for a big strong horse like him.

"Givemefive looks the one to beat. But Kalif du Berlais is an exciting horse and tomorrow will tell us where we go next with him - Cheltenham or Aintree."

Paul explained that he had taken Fasol out of the Dovecote at Kempton due to the state of the ground after rain.

Panjari, however, does run in the race and Paul said:

"He won very well at Musselburgh on soft ground and this is a similar track. He's a decent horse and has got a lovely chance in a good competitive race."

Tahmuras runs in the Pendil Novices' Chase and Paul said of his chances:

"There is more to come from him. He will love the ground here. The flat track will suit him and he has a nice chance."
