He's making his debut over fences, I've always thought he was going to be a nice chaser. He won at Newbury last year but got disaqualified. This is a tough-looking race, he probably would be better with two-and-a-half miles but we have not got another option. It is good to see the ground is good to soft and he has schooled nicely.
As I said, this is a tough race, Palacio was a good winner at Chepstow the other day and Mambonumberfive is a smart horse who won the Adonis last year and at Aintree recently, he will be hard to beat. But my horse jumps well and I am looking forward to seeing him here.
This is a decent juvenile event. The downside is we got a 5lb penalty for winning a maiden hurdle at Auteuil, that's a shame as it will be tough with the penalty. Whatever she does here, she will improve on the run, she has not been here long. My plan for her is has always been to go to the listed mares and fillies race at Taunton over Christmas. That race will suit her much better than Friday's at Newbury.
My big runner of the day. He was unlucky not to win a Grade 1 at Aintree in April. He has grown up an awful lot and chasing will be the making of him as long as he jumps as well on the course as he has done at home. We've done a lot of schooling with him and waited for rain.
This is a competitive race, there are some nice horses in the field. Kingston Pride won well on his debut at Perth the other day and Wendigo is a decent horse, but we are really excited about Regent's Stroll making his chase debut. The most important thing is that he jumps well and that bodes well for the future.
He was a nice winner on his seasonal return at Fontwell, we though he would need the run. He ran very well at Newbury a year ago on this track so he has a chance in this competitive race.
He will improve for this run. But he is in the grip of the handicapper. I think he won off 103/104 and he has been up to around 117 since, he is not going to win off this mark. This will be his last run before he goes chasing. The only thing that would suit him would be if the ground became very testing.
Doncaster runners
He has had several wind-ops and had one before he won his bumper down at Ffos Las. He ran ok on his debut at Chepstow the other day and will have taken a big step forward from that. Slightly better ground and a more galloping track will suit him. There's only six runners, so he definitely has a chance.
He's been waiting to run over fences, he was going to run at Hexham last week but it got called off, he went up there and back and hasn't done a lot since, he has to start somewhere. He went well over hurdles last year and goes well fresh, so it's all about getting some experience into him. He will build on that and he has a chance.
