Paul Nicholls takes some of his biggest stars to Cheltenham on Saturday

Betfair ambassador Paul Nicholls discusses his runners on a big Saturday at Cheltenham and Doncaster with James Mackie...

It's Festival Trials Day at Cheltenham on Saturday and some of Team Ditcheat's biggest stars are running, including Stay Away Fay in the Cotswolds Chase.

Paul said: "He's only had two runs over fences and won them both. This is a step up in class.

"We have taken a bit of a gamble by running him against more experience horses here. But he is going to get Cheltenham experience and the timing is right for him."

Il Ridoto and Hitman both run in the 13:15 at Cheltenham and Paul said:

"Il Ridoto has got to improve again (after going up five pounds last time). He ran a solid race when finishing second at Cheltenham in December.

"Hitman has dropped a few pounds and had a wind op since his last run. If he runs like he did in the Ryanair last year he will have a big chance. I wouldn't be surprised if he is there or thereabouts. He looks fantastic."

Ginny's Destiny and Rubaud

The fast-improving Ginny's Destiny runs at 12:40 and Paul is delighted with the way he is improving:

"He took a while to get fit and didn't show us a lot before his first run. But he has been improving and improving and improving. He won his last two races. He has tough task off top weight so we will know what we have got after this race. He is in very good order."

Paul expects Rubaud to run tidily at 15:00:

"Other than his defeat to Constitution Hill on Boxing Day, Rubaud is unbeaten really. This is a different sort of challenge, left-handed on a non-flat track. But we want to take our chance."
