Paul says Complete Unknown is looking good before Saturday's Coral Gold Cup

Betfair ambassador Paul Nicholls provides a Friday update on his weekend runners at Newbury as he talks to Barry Orr...

  • Paul hopeful Saturday racing will go ahead at Newbury

  • Emailandy can send Team Ditcheat a winner

  • Complete Unknown will run well if he copes with ground

Paul Nicholls kicked off by talking to Barry Orr about his chances at Newbury on Friday. You can read about them all here.

Emailandy could be Paul's first chance of a winner on Saturday when he runs in the 13:05 race at Newbury.

Paul said: "Emailandy won nicely at Plumpton recently. He surprised us a little bit. He has a penalty so will need to take a step forward for us. Hopefully he will go well."

Irish Hill in the 13:40 is another interesting one.

"He needed his run at Kempton. He had a wind-op and missed some work. I think he has a good chance here."

After that it is the Coral Gold Cup at 14:50 in which Betfair Sportsbook is offering punters six places.

It is a race which Team Ditcheat has not won since Denman's triumph in 2009.

This year Complete Unknown is out to give Paul a winner and the Betfair ambassador said:

"Complete Unknown is a lovely horse. We have had this race in mind for him for a long time since he won at Newton Abbot at the back end of last season. He was second to Gerri Colombe at Aintree.

"He ran well there on decent ground and if copes with the ground at Kempton he will run very well."
