Silver Flyer ran out an easy winner by 9L yesterday for the column and hopes were briefly high for a twin celebration, but Scottish Accent faltered an appeared not to stay in the bid for the double. Hopefully we can rectify that as we play towards the very top end of the market on Wednesday.

The further distance looks sure to suit as he's related to 3m2f winner Too Many Chiefs and he certainly shaped like a stayer at Ayr.

Staying chase could be a piece of cake for Dundee

Lucinda Russell's 8yo gave it a valiant shot over Hexham's 4m last time in a gruelling contest, but he finished second and was outstayed by Lough Derg Farmer. The pair were 10L clear of the third so we have every reason to be positive from that 0-120. He's back in the same grade today.

Stephen Mulqueen held him up at Hexham, perhaps in view of helping him to get the trip. Previously he'd been more forwardly-ridden and I expect the drop to 3m2f for Wednesday might see him press on.

Soft conditions suit and he stays well. Kelso suits although in four runs at the Borders venue he has finished second on three occasions. No more seconds please!
