Rachael Blackmore Superboost
Day one of Aintree saw Betfair's Superboost land as Rachael Blackmore and Bob Olinger finished in the top two on Thursday, and today we are boosting her once again onboard Minella Indo in the Grand National!
You can back Rachael and Minella Indo for a Top 10 finish in the 16:00 today at Aintree at the Superboost price of 2/13.00! (was 5/42.25).
Aintree - 13:55 - Back Caldwell Potter
The two-mile Grade 1 novice hurdle at Leopardstown over Christmas was run at a strong gallop on testing ground and provided a searching examination that most of the field failed to cope with.
Caldwell Potter saw things out strongly, though, and beat Predators Gold by six and a half lengths with the pair 38 lengths ahead of the third. That smart performance earned Caldwell Potter a Timeform rating of 147p and, prior to racing on Friday, it was a figure that only Ballyburn, Slade Steel and Mystical Power had exceeded in the novice hurdle division.
Based on how he coped with that test a step up to two and a half miles should suit, and he just has the edge on ratings over his half-sister Brighterdaysahead who is the obvious danger in receipt of a valuable 7 lb sex allowance.
Aintree - 14:30 - Back The King of Ryhope
Winning pointer The King of Ryhope looked the type to make a better chaser than hurdler and he created a good impression when making a successful start over fences at Chepstow in October.
He disappointed on his next couple of outings but got right back on the up when a close-up fourth in the Grade 2 Reynoldstown Chase at Ascot, where he looked a big threat until blundering at the final fence.
That effort suggests this lightly-raced chaser remains with untapped potential and he looks to be on a fair mark as he heads back into handicap company.
Aintree - 17:00 - Back Found A Fifty
Found A Fifty was a fair way off the pick of the novice hurdlers around last season but he has developed into a much better chaser and has performed with great credit in Grade 1s this term.
Since registering a stylish success in a beginners' chase on his debut over fences, Found A Fifty has competed in four Grade 1s, winning once and finishing runner-up on the other three occasions.
He was no match for Gaelic Warrior in the Arkle last time but finished four and three-quarter lengths in advance of Il Etait Temps, who was subsequently an easy winner of a Grade 1 at Aintree, and his form places him 3 lb clear at the head of Timeform's ratings here.
