Who will win the 2025 Betfair Chase?
Grey Dawning is the favourite to win the Betfair Chase 2025 after seven runners were declared for Saturday's Grade 1 at Haydock.
The biggest race of the National Hunt season so far takes place at 15:30 on Saturday November 22.
It looks set to be a cracker as the 11/82.38 jolly bids to improve on last season's second-place finish and claim a famous victory.
Dan Skelton's horse is unmoved at the top of the market as he targets revenge over dual winner of the race Royale Pagaille who is 4/15.00 to land his third straight win in the contest.
Last year, Venetia Williams' horse overtook Grey Dawning on the run-in to win by two lengths. No wonder Skelton said today that his horse has "a bit of unfinished business" in the Betfair Chase.
He last ran on 3 April at Aintree where he came second to Gaelic Warrior at the Grand National Festival. That was also the last place where we saw Royale Pagaille who pulled up in the National.
All eyes will be on the pair and they will be raring to go this Saturday.
Curtis runner the big mover while Nicholls enters Hitman
While Skelton and Williams' respective runners dominate the headline, another horse is gaining traction on Betfar.
Haiti Couleurs 10/34.33 is the big mover in the market, with the Rebecca Curtis runner going from 12/113.00 into second favourite.
Betfair ambassador Paul Nicholls is the race's leading trainer with six winners. This year, he enters Hitman 16/117.00 who won at Aintree in his only run so far this term at the end of last month. You will be able to read Paul Nicholls' exclusive preview of his entry's chances, and his views on the rest of his weekend runners, on Friday.
The British horses appear to hold all the aces. The only Irish challenger in the field at this stage is Grade 1 Cheltenham Festival winning hurdler Stellar Story for Gordon Elliott at 14/115.00.
