Southwell the key to mare's chances this evening

Alan Dudman is looking to add to yesterday's winner with a 37/138.00 double on Wednesday
Omakase must hold some sort of record as having one of the longest absences ever known as she was off for 1391 days, almost four years before leaving Joseph O'Brien to join Kildare trainer Peter Fahey.
A massive reduction in her rating ensued, perhaps the handicapper forget all about her? As at one stage she was rated in the 70s and with her two runs for Fahey in October she's been off 54, so if there's any of the old ability there she's well treated.
Last time out she was in a stronger race at the Curragh in a field of 24 and she stayed on from back and went past plenty of horses to finish fifth. That was over 7f and there's every opportunity going left-handed in a smaller field over 1m2f will suit her better.
The draw isn't great in 13 but the plus is Sam Coen claims 10lb, and with a ton of horses out of form, her mark appeals and she is unexposed on the All-Weather.
We're delving again into the basement level at Southwell which was a happy hunting ground for the column yesterday and I am keen on Rose Light's chances over 1m4f at 18:30.
She doesn't win very often but her sole victory came at the track over 1m3f when trained by Gemma Tutty and a return to the venue might do the trick.
Her latest run at Wolverhampton over 1m4f was a good one, as she finished second to Kojin with the winner earning the plaudits for an excellent ride from Billy Loughnane who kicked away from Rose Light - who was on the inside and didn't have a lot of room to play with.
However, in that race, Rose Light travelled the best and she could be easily spotted on the inside and ran on well to the line and was closing on Kojin and Wolverhampton's short run-in and quicker circuit wouldn't have suited her.
She's drawn well tonight and Southwell's longer straight will be more to her liking as she's a daughter of Nathaniel and will have more time to run on and if Hornby can tack across to the stands' side from the turn, she should be in involved here from a pretty low mark in a bad race.
