Horse Racing Tips: Rabbitt to run well in Tuesday Sedgefield 11/1 multiple

Sedgefield - 13:20: Back Harper Valley

Rebecca Menzies has a good chance to end a slight lean spell, as she's only had one winner from her last 16 runners sent out, but Harper Valley steps out of novice company with a workable mark of 105.

The 6yo had fared well in his first few starts and ran well in the spring at Kelso when chasing home a potentially useful horse for Donald McCain.

He made no mistake on his subsequent outing with a win at Hexham where he handled the quicker ground, and Hexham form often travels well and he stayed on with purpose.

Unexposed at trips around 2m4f and 2m5f, he seems to stay and showed his stamina abilities with that Hexham win, and while the ground will be the softest he will encounter today, that stamina displayed at Hexham and Kelso marks him down as ideal for today's distance.

Menzies is 2-8 at Sedgefield this term at 25% and has a 15% record in the last five seasons.

Sedgefield - 14:20: Back El Jefe

The booking of Conor Rabbitt and his 5lb looks a good move for El Jefe today, who was strong on the Sportsbook this morning from 11/43.75 into 9/43.25.

He was a winner last time out over C&D and had the perfect Sedgefield trip with a pace to run at off a good gallop to win easily by 3L.

A 5lb rise still keeps him on a mark in the 80s, so it's a moderate grade and El Jefe is well handicapped if you go back far enough.

The selection goes well at the track and acts in soft conditions, and with Rabbitt's claim, is well up to follow up his latest well.
