Russell sends mare over fences for debut
Haveyougotmymoney drops down in class for the 12:25 and is also back down to 3m after his 3m2f effort at Kelso last time, and both factors should see him go close here.
In opposition is Nick Alexander's Sanosuke as the 5/23.50 favourite, but Haveyougotmymoney is consistent and that edges the selection here.
He appeared not to stay last time although was certainly a threat as he hit 2.56/4 in-running, but he slightly dropped away in the closing stages and it was down to the lack of stamina, although he was also in 0-120 class.
The 5yo won easily at Southwell in October and appreciated the good ground, and with Musselburgh usually serving up better ground, more of a speed test at today's trip look plusses.
He has certainly improved since stepping up to 3m and also ran well under today's jockey Dylan Johnston in a C&D event recently.
It didn't quite work out with Return Fire yesterday as the second leg of the double for Lucinda Russell but the yard have a chasing debutant with So They Say, and she has shaped as though this 3m could be her thing over fences.
With barely any racing over hurdles (four starts), Russell has wasted little time in getting her over the larger ones today and her horses are usually sound jumpers that are well schooled.
Her two starts this term saw her fall late on at Kelso, and she was back at the Borders' track to finish second on her latest outing. That run, and an effort at Newcastle last term were both over shorter trips and she does seem to lack any sort of pace so I can see the 3m suiting her today.
Russell is 3-11 at the track this term at 27% and the selection starts off from a low 95 mark for both her handicap and chasing bow.
