Kempton has a six race card on Monday

Kempton - 14:10 - Back Jakima

A wet Monday in store could change things at both Hamilton and Windsor with the turf meetings, so Kempton will be the focus and Jakima's experience stands her in good stead to hopefully justify her 13/82.63 price for the opening nursery.

The 2yo filly raced three times over 6f before her handicap debut last time at Chester in a deeper field than today.

Officially it was soft on the Roodeye that day, but times indicated far more testing and heavy, but Jakima done well tackling the longer 7f and she could well get 1m on that evidence.

She has a pretty useful pedigree for one operating at such a low level, and there are two AW winners in her family to offer some hope she will act well on this surface.

There was definite ability in a good debut at Lingfield in June, and the second from that race has won since. Trainer Andrew Balding was red hot at the weekend in the Shergar Cup and the selection is taking a drop in class here by some way off a low mark.

Kempton - 17:00 - Back Bodygroove

Bodygroove looks an okay price for the second selection considering how well she won last time out, and another step up in distance to 2m could unlock some further improvement.

He looked a horse better than his mark at Wolverhampton over 1m6f, and there was no issue with the pace at all as they went a strong tempo and he travelled and stayed well - there was a lot to like about the display.

The field were strung out thanks to the searching gallop, but Bodygroove enjoyed it and was wide into the straight and always had the race in the bag. He did have a slightly awkward carriage, but there was nothing wrong with his attitude.

The third in the race Manxman has boosted the form with a recent win too.

He has another 2f here, and a 4lb rise still has him in range for another win off 67.

Arcadian Friend is clearly a big danger in opposition as he won so easily at Chelmsford last time, but Bodygroove's claims at a good price are appealing considering the style of the victory last time.

Back Bodygroove @ 9/25.50
