Dundalk winner can follow up again
Bonito Cavalo is in such good form at the moment, he looks a fair enough price at 7/42.75 against a beatable bunch in the 18:45, and I am backing him to complete the four-timer.
Indeed, he appeared in this column for the second of his three recent wins and had no trouble landing the money when coming from off the pace and being delivered perfectly by Paul Mulrennan.
He beat Bernie The Bear quite easily last time by over 1L with a bit more in hand than the market suggests, and with Bernie The Bear the second favourite, there's no reason why the form should be turned, even if the selection has to carry a 10lb penalty.
Indeed, with the penalty, he still gets to race in 0-58 grade despite his rating now being pushed up to 61, and he looks better than this level.
He's taken to the AW superbly, in keeping with his pedigree, and he is also drawn well in eight to angle on the inside for a run from off the pace.
That's the plan anyway, and it's easier to make up ground here than it is at Chelmsford, where front-runners last night proved impossible to peg back. A real pace-setters nirvana there.
Moondharrig is a lightly-raced type for trainer Eoin Doyle and just about won last time without finding too much for pressure, and while it looked easy to take a pot shot and say it wasn't much of a race, he can build on that with just six career starts.
He made the running last time, and I don't see it being too much of a problem from stall six to try and repeat the tactics again.
The 4yo won off 50 and is up only 4lb to 54 with Wesley Joyce keeping the ride. He also ran quite well on his handicap debut back in November in a 0-65, and as this isn't a strong race, making all could be the making of him for now anyway.
