Musselburgh
Course specialist Bicep will be looking to maintain 100% record at the track today for Grant Tuer

Alan Dudman is looking to course specialist Bicep at Musselburgh on Friday and his two picks run in a Sportsbook multiple that pays 47/148.00...

Musselburgh - 15:50 - Back Bicep

Four of the field of 10 in the Musselburgh 15:50 7f Handicap are course and distance winners, and one of those (Bicep), holds a perfect 3-3 record here. He clearly has a good chance today to get back on track.

Grant Tuer's 4yo has been well beaten on his latest two starts, but one of those was in a deeper handicap at York back in May in which he was well beaten, while soft ground and the inability to lead blunted his chances at Thirsk recently.

His win on reappearance in May was on good ground from 72, and he's only 1lb higher today at a track where he saves his best.

The 7f trip is ideal for the former sprinter, especially at a sharp track like Musselburgh and he certainly looked a 3yo on the up last season when winning twice at the Scottish venue.

If he leads, his price is a decent one at 15/28.50 if you are looking to play and trade on the Exchange with a back-to-lay, and while it's a step up in class, he is a better horse at this track.

Musselburgh - 16:53 - Back Fifty Sent

A couple of contenders appealed for the finale at 16:53 when looking at the markets this morning. War Defender has dropped down to a very appealing mark these days and looks an each-way bet, but I worry about the 1m1f furlong for him - and he's never won on turf.

The choice is Fifty Sent, who deserves a win considering his consistency this year.

The 4yo hasn't got a ton in hand in terms of mark at 62, but off top weight here, he sneaks into this 0-60.

He ran close behind Jim Goldie's veteran Ayr Poet last time out with a solid effort against the pace bias at Ayr. The winner was well placed, but Fifty Sent came from a poor position and fared best of the field held up to take second.

Fifty Sent drops down from 0-65 class and stays 1m2f well. Indeed, he has winning form at the stiff Newcastle over that distance, so with him reverting to 1m, he won't be lacking for stamina.

Trainer Michael Dods has had two winners and two places from his last five runners and Fifty Sent's drift from 3/14.00 to 5/16.00 on the Sportsbook looks a good price considering his consistency.
