Both Olympic Candle and Raqiyah won for our tipster yesterday and he is keen on two chances at Kempton on Saturday...

Three winners in the last two days for Alan

Looking to take on Bay Bridge in opener

First View out for a repeat success at Kempton
Both Raqiya and Olympic Candle scored for the column yesterday with an 8/19.00 double landed, and as we look for a fourth winner in three days, Kempton is the venue for the two bets.
The opening Group 3 September Stakes sees Israr for John Gosden at 5/23.50, and bigger than the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Bay Bridge at 10/111.91.
I have backed Bay Bridge before (losing not winning may I add), but I can easily shy away from him this time around with Richard Kingscote on board and the new trip of 1m4f - for which he isn't certain to stay, especially as Kempton does take a bit of getting.
Israr has form over 1m6f and landed a Group 2 last time when defeating a clearly below par Adayar.
This doesn't look a great Group 3, so while Israr has to carry a penalty, he is still improving and unexposed on the All-Weather. There's hope he should act on it, as his sire Muhaarar has a 29% placed record here.
Gosden has farmed this race in recent seasons with five winners of it since 2015, so he certainly knows how to roll the September dice. The selection has a chance t simply outstay Bay Bridge.
Relying on ye olde faithful Saeed bin Suroor proved a wise move yesterday with Olympic Candle, and his First View looks well worth a punt in the 14:10 1m Handicap.
He's a fine Kempton horse and a three-time CD winner - including success in the race 12 months ago.
The 6yo made the running to win the 2022 version, and considering he landed that from 90, the fact he runs from 88 on Saturday has drawn me in.
His season has been lacklustre, but he did show some of his old sparkle last time when finishing second - although he did take a bit of driving.
He's up 1lb, and could be a better horse on the All-Weather these days, so we can scrub off his turf efforts to date. Christian Howarth also keeps the ride and scored on him 12 months ago.
It was frustrating the 5/16.00 disappeared rather swiftly on Friday, but we can take 7/24.50 for a proven horse around here.
