Harry's Bar is one of the star names on show at Dundalk on Tuesday

Dundalk - 14:10 - Back Harry's Bar

I am hoping for some McGuinness magic on Tuesday and a decent card at Dundalk. I was half-tempted to throw in Pierre Lapin for the Red God later on the card, but the 106-rated Harry's Bar has tempted me at 9/25.50.

It's a treat in midweek to see a horse rated in three figures.

Harry's Bar has a terrific record around Dundalk, and he's 7-13 at the track at 54% and has competed in a Group race at the course.

The selection is dead simple - give him 6f and a pace to run at and there's enough speed in the race to drag him along.

It's a huge task with his rating and weight with a massive 10-6 on his back, but the yard's apprentice Cian MacRedmond is excellent, and with his 5lb claim in this, it's worth its weight in gold.

He ran over 5f last time without success, but back at 6f, he can break the 200k prize money barrier on the AW.

Newcastle - 17:25 - Back Jewel Maker EW

There are no secrets with Jewel Maker, who lines up at Newcastle in the opening 17:25, with the 8yo set for start 62 for the Tim Easterby stable.

While he is without a victory this season, a trio of efforts at Haydock, Beverley and Redcar show he hasn't totally lost the plot, and with one or two bright spots amongst the gloom, he's also dropped down to a fair enough mark to reflect his ability these days.

He was beaten 5L at Haydock last time in soft conditions but he did run well at York earlier in the summer on quick ground in 0-80 company off a mark in the 70s, and he's dropping way down in class from that effort today.

Jewel Maker is often held up and needs a bit of luck in-running - something he didn't have earlier in the season. And touching on the York run, the pace over 9f was too steady and didn't suit.

He looks a big price with a return to the All-Weather, and he's still got enough ability to win in this easier grade.
