It's Wexford time for Alan on Friday night

"Ian Power's return to the saddle was a great story, and he has ridden a winner at the track this term. She looks a big price considering she has shaped like a stayer."

Back Rose Mahler @ 8.07/1 in the 17:50 at Wexford

Alan Dudman heads to Wexford on Friday evening and has two mares for a 47/1 each-way double on the Sportsbook...

Dreaming of a winner in Wexford puzzle

Back Must Be Dreaming @ 6.05/1 in the 17:15 at Wexford

Another second yesterday hitting a low price in-running, this time Nigwa at 1.331/3 as another runner-up. As nice as silver is, some gold would be more preferable.

There aren't many runners on Friday evening, and Bergerac is in a three-runner race at Newmarket tonight. Indeed, one might call Jim Bergerac with his detective skills to find some horses. Where are they all?

There are no such worries over in Ireland, and the first bet of night is at Wexford with Must Be Dreaming off top weight.

She's been kept busy since May following a win on yard debut at Wexford when she was expertly guided home by JJ Slevin who charted a wide path. On that occasion it was over 2m1f, but she shouldn't have an issue with the extra 3f.

Since then she's mixed a run on the Flat, with efforts at Cork and Galway over hurdles. She produced a personal best last time at Ballybrit behind a 122-rated winner in Flaming Moon. That was a Listed contest run at a steady and stop-start pace. The fact she shaped well over 2m4f at Cork previously means the lack of a test went against her.

With winning form at Wexford, a return to the track can hopefully get her home. And with plenty of runners for this, you can play two in the same race to place as a Sportsbook multiple.

Ian could have the Power with Rose

Another big field and an Extra Place Special for the 17:40 3m Handicap Hurdle and Rose Mahler has been running consistently well for Paul Kiely and deserves to get her head in front.

She's only had a handful of starts, but as a Mahler, the stamina is there in the pedigree and she certainly has improved for the step up in distance.

Last time out she was behind Alfieri - an improver for the distance too, but Rose Mahler stayed on well enough in an almost carbon copy run behind Menellik over CD.

Ian Power's return to the saddle was a great story, and he has ridden a winner at the track this term. She looks a big price considering she has shaped like a stayer.
