Cheltenham Day 2 Superboost

After the Day 1 Superboost landed with over 31,000 punters taking advantage of the 1/12.00 about Old Park Star finishing in the top four in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle (he won!), we have another extremely generous Superboost for you on Day 2.

The Gordon Elliott-trained Romeo Coolio has won all four of his chase starts this season including two Grade 1 contests with the latter being a victory over Tuesday's Arkle Chase winner Kargese. He's 4/91.44 to finish in the top four in the Brown Advisory Novices' Chase at 14:00 but the Betfair Sportsbook has super-boosted his price to 1/12.00.

Winners abound on day one at Cheltenham

The Cheltenham Festival got off to the best of starts on Tuesday for thousands of Betfair punters who backed the winning Superboost.

The first day of the Festival was as exciting as you would expect and 31,000 punters took advantage of the opportunity to back Old Park Star for a top three finish in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at a boosted 1/12.00, up from 1/31.33.

Nicky Henderson's runner did not disappoint and came home in the first race of the Festival. A brilliant start and proof that it pays to use the Superboost.

Sam Turner tips Ultima winner at 18/119.00

Sam Turner delivers winners week in, week out, on Betting.betfair and he served one up on the biggest stage of all. Sam's day one NAP Johnnywho did the business for our tipster with a superb winning run in the Ultima Handicap at 15:20.

Sam made a strong case for the nine-year-old, who is trained by Jonjo and AJ O'Neill, ahead of day one and he could not have been more accurtate in his assessment of a strong traveller who had the ability to take his shot at redemption following his defeat in last year's Kim Muir.

Johnnywho - who Sam advised at 10/111.00 but returned an Industry Staring Price of 18/119.00 -  truly made a name for himself as well as boosting Sam's standing among readers who have been following his tips all season. Johnnywho was a tasty win for one Betfair punter who teamed him with earlier winners Kargese and Saratoga for a stunning 759/1 treble. Our punter's £2 bet paid at £1,521!

The Ultima Handicap was Betfair v Betfair as our ambassador Paul Nicholls had Qubecois in the race. The Ditcheat horse was a longtime leader in the race but ran out of steam and finished third.

Still, it was a result Nicholls will hope to build on this week and a sign that he could be in for a strong Festival.

Tomorrow the Betfair ambassador has No Drama This End, who looks set to go off as the race favourite, running in the Turners Novices' Hurdle at 13:20.

Katie Midwinter's NAP wins like a Champion

Lossiemouth is a proven winner at Cheltenham but faced a tough task in the 2026 Champion Hurdle up against The New Lion and Brighterdaysahead.

But Katie Midwinter was confident the mare could deliver in her Champion Hurdle runner guide and she won like a favourite should. 

Katie also found each-way returns with 33/134.00 The Mighty Celt and 8/19.00 Hyland on the day.
