7 April - Scheffler favourite to win Green Jacket

Two-time Masters champion Scottie Scheffler is the 6/17.00 favourite to win a third Green Jacket at Augusta this week.

With just two days to go before players tee off at the first golf Major of 2026, the world number one continues to lead the winner market on the Betfair Sportsbook.

Jon Rahm, who won the Masters is 2023, is next in the market at 11/112.00 as the Spaniard bids to win what would be a third Major title of his career.

Bryson DeChambeau is 12/113.00 while defending champion Rory McIlroy 14/115.00 and Xander Schauffele 14/115.00 complete the cluster of contenders under 20/121.00.

As the players prepare in Georgia, the Betting.Betfair Masters coverage has been hotting up.

Steve Rawlings has delivered his in-depth preview and recommended a player to back at 25/126.00.

Dave Tindall has three players to back each-way up to 50/151.00.

1 April - Tiger out and Morikawa a doubt

Five-times US Masters winner Tiger Woods will not be at Augusta next week as he takes time away to seek treatment for his ongoing health issues.

The 15-time major winner and former world number one made headline news last week when he was involved in a car crash that resulted in him being arrested and jailed after he refused to provide a lawful test.

Posting on X, the 50-year-old said, "I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritise my wellbeing and work toward lasting recovery."

Although Woods was not considered a potential winner after not playing a professional round of golf since the 2024 Open, his participation in next week's first major of the season would have made big news around the world and made the tournament even more popular than it already is.

Meanwhile world number eight Collin Morikawa's participation in next week's Masters is in doubt after he withdrew from this week's Valero Texas Open, his second successive withdrawal after he pulled out of the Players Championship after just one hole citing a back injury.

The two-time major winner admitted that he tried to come back too soon (to play this week's Texas Open) after his injury and that would suggest that he's facing a race against time to be fit for next week's Thursday tee time.

Morikawa has drifted out from 25/126.00 to 28/129.00 after news of this week's withdrawal. World number one Scottie Scheffler remains the 11/26.50 favourite to win the tournament.

31 March - Latest Masters prices and Augusta guide

Scottie Scheffler remains the favourite to win next week's US Masters but the big mover is Bryson DeChambeau who is second in the Augusta winner market on Betfair.

The two-time US Open champion is 10/111.00 while world number one Scheffler is 11/26.50 to reclaim the Green Jacket he won in 2022 and '24.

Defending champion Rory McIlroy, meanwhile, has drifted slightly to 11/112.00 - the same price as Jon Rahm - as the Northern Irish player bids to become the first golfer since Tiger Woods in 2002 to retain the Masters.

Betting.Betfair golf experts will, as ever, be arming punters with the best bets for Augusta. Steve Rawlings, Dave Tindall and more will highlight the most worthwhile betting angles and recommend their tips for the year's first Major.

Fitzpatrick 22/1 for Masters glory after Valspar win

Matt Fitzpatrick is 22/123.00 on the Betfair Sportsbook to win the US Masters following his victory at the Valspar Championship at the weekend.

The Augusta winner market still rates the Englishman's chances below that of favourite Scottie Scheffler 5/16.00 and defending champion Rory McIlroy 10/111.00, as well as those of four more contenders, but Fitzpatrick will be going to Georgia in good form.

The previous week, he came agonisingly close to winning but finished second at the Players Championship.

On Sunday, Fitzpatrick put his Players disappointment behind him and won in spectacular style, holing a 14ft-putt to birdie the 18th and beat American David Lipsky to the Valspar title.

The Englishman will now spend two weeks preparing for the year's first Major championship at Augusta. He is seeking to add to the US Open he won in 2022.

Masters favourites - bettors prefer Scheffler to defending champ McIlroy

Last year's Masters provided one of the sporting moments of 2025 as Rory McIlroy completed his career Grand Slam by winning his first Major title for 11 years.

He finished 46th at the Valspar and his best performance so far in 2026 was his tied second at the Genesis Invitational.

Scheffler has not won since taking the American Express title in January but he remains world number one and, as a two-time Masters winner, in 2022 and '24, is a worthy favourite for a third green jacket next month.

We will have in-depth tournament previews from Steve Rawlings, Dave Tindall and more golf experts, as well as the key course and form starts, for the Masters 2026.

For now check out Steve Rawlings' preview of this week's Houston Open and find out who he believes could be in line for a win on the road to Augusta.
