Steve Rawlings says: "Jon Rahm arrived here 12 months ago atop of the world standings but having not played since October 2021.
"He started nicely and drew alongside Smith with a course record 12-under-patr 61 on Saturday which saw the pair go into Sunday with a commanding five-stroke advantage over the rest of the field.
"He was matched at a low of 1.5 early on in round four but Smith's putting was the difference between the two and Rahm was eventually beaten by a solitary stroke.
"After a slightly disappointing 2022, Rahm is the world number five this time around, but he finished the year very strongly with form figures reading 2-1-4-1 as his putting finally improved.
"Rahm has ranked eighth, first, fifth, fourth, 29th and second for Strokes Gained Putting in his last six outings and he's ranked inside the top three for Putting Average in three of those six starts so after a woeful 2022 with the flatstick, something clicked as the year drew to a close.
"Having also finished second on debut in 2018, Rahm's never finished outside the top-ten here in five previous visits and he's the man to beat."
Steve's bet: Back John Rahm @ 8.415/2
Dave Tindall says: "A quick look back to the last two years shows that both winners, Smith and English, had finished in the top five in their previous FedEx Cup event. That seems a decent starting point and the one I like from the bunch that tick that box is Brian Harman.
"The left-hander finished runner-up in the RSM Classic in late November and also occupied second place in the World Wide Technology Championship in Mexico two weeks earlier. It does no harm that both were played in coastal locations.
"The 35-year-old shot 19-under and 17-under respectively, posting round scores of 66, 66, 67, 66, 67, 69, 64 and 65. Across the two events, he racked up 39 birdies and two eagles.

"Harman also played the QBE Shootout with late call-up Sepp Straka, matching Hoge and Theegala's scores of 60 and 62 in rounds one and three but eventually settling for tied eighth."
Dave's bet: Back Brian Harman each-way @ 41.040/1
Steve Rawlings says: "Low scores are the norm around the Plantation Course at Kapalua, a fast start is hugely beneficial and the last two winners, English and Smith, both won wire-to wire.
"Streaky players that can get hot with the putter and keep on rolling are the ones to concentrate on and JT Poston, who's nicknamed, for very obvious reasons, The Postman, is just such a player.
"Poston finished on 20-under-par way back in 2016 when losing a playoff on the Korn Ferry Tour and when he won the John Deere Classic wire-to-wire in July last year he reached 22-under-par.
"Poston won the Wyndham Championship in 21-under-par in 2020 and he was beaten in extra time at the Barbasol Championship in-between his two PGA Tour wins, having reached 21-under-par."
Steve's bet: Back 1u J.T Poston 200.0
Place order to lay 10u @ 10.0 & 10u @ 2.3
Dave Tindall says: "Jordan Spieth has always been able to throw in low rounds at the Plantation Course, a venue where he's finished first, second and third in five appearances.
"On his first two visits he posted 7-under 66s (par is 73 here) in round one, good enough for the first-round lead in 2014 and second place in 2016. The three-time major winner hasn't started as well since but in a trio of subsequent visits he's always twirled a 66 or lower at some point.
"Spieth is often quick to get his eye in, especially on courses where creativity is required. Prime evidence comes from Augusta National where he's been the first-round leader at the US Masters on three occasions.
"Although his form tailed off towards the very end of 2022, Spieth won all five points in September's Presidents Cup and I'm hopeful he's been able to press the reset button over the Festive period."
Dave's bet: Back Jordan Spieth each-way at 23.0
Andy Swales: "The Plantation Course at Kapalua made its PGA Tour debut in 1999. Laid out close to the north-west coastline on the Hawaiian island of Maui, the Plantation Course was designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, and opened in 1991.

"The pair returned in 2019 to carry out a nine-month renovation when all of the greens were rebuilt, while new bunkers were added on four holes. It is the only PGA Tour course with seven holes longer than 500 yards, and has a total par of 73 - which is also unusually high among tournament venues.
"This island location has wide fairways, large greens and not a single water hazard...
"Xander Schauffele is a former champion at Kapalua. He won twice on the PGA Tour during 2022 and ended the year No 6 in the world."
Andy's Player to Watch: Xander Schauffele @ 12.5
