Bermuda Championship Each-Way Tips: Long can jump clear
Dave Tindall thinks Adam Long looks value to take victory in Bermuda this week...
Dave says: "Probably the easiest fit at a decent price this week is Adam Long. The American ranks 2nd in Strokes Gained: Putting on the current charts and, for a wider study period, he was 24th for SGP last season. Clearly he's very strong on the greens.
"Long's second big appeal is that he crops up plenty when running checks on correlating courses.
"Whizzing through them, he has a second and a third from three appearances at Mayakoba, a 12th at Harbour Town earlier this year, lots of low rounds at the RSM Classic where he was 16th last November and fifth and eighth in his last two starts at the Corales Puntacana."
Dave's bet: Back Adam Long each-way @ 51.0
Bermuda Championship 2022: Course and current form stats
Andy Swales provides the course info, players' form stats and picks his ones to watch in Bermuda...
Andy says: "This highly-rated public coastal course can be stunning on a good day but windswept on a bad one. It is not the longest of layouts on the PGA Tour calendar, and the fairways are reasonably generous.
"Water is only an issue on four holes, although the undulating greens will certainly test this week's competitors. And if the coastal winds are heavy, the players will need to sharpen their mid and short iron approach shots, and perhaps their scrambling skills too...
"Russell Knox has posted top-20 finishes in all three visits which may give him an edge in this rather mediocre field."
Andy's Player to Watch: Russell Knox @ 42.041/1
Portugal Masters: Marcus the man to follow at Vilamoura
The DP World Tour skips over the Spanish border for the Portugal Masters so read The Punter's comprehensive preview...
Steve Rawlings says: "I'd slightly favour length over accuracy off the tee. Last year's winner, Thomas Pieters, only ranked 24th for Driving Distance but Nicolai Hojgaard in tied second and Matthew Jordan in tied fifth ranked first and second for DD although a lack of length can clearly be overcome.
"The 2019 winner, Steven Brown, only ranked 46th for DD and David Lynn won here nine years ago ranking just 67th.
"Accuracy off the tee is certainly not essential either. Pieters ranked 15th for Driving Accuracy but four of the next six on the leaderboard ranked in the 50s for DA and the first four home in 2019 ranked tied 30th, tied 30th, 20th and 43rd for D A. The 2018 winner, Tom Lewis, ranked only 69th...
"Kinhult caught the eye last time out when finishing sixth at Valderrama after a slow start. He was fourth here on debut in 2018, his sole title to date (the 2019 British Masters) was won on a links course, and he's twice finished third at Doha - a course that correlates superbly with Dom Pedro Victoria.
"That's more than enough to suggest he's a fair price at 95.0 but his position in the race to Dubai standings (80th) is another reason to back him. Kinhult needs to get inside the top-60 to get into the Nedbank Challenge in two weeks' time - an event in which he finished second in 2019."
Steve's bet: Back Marcus Kinhult @ 95.0
Portugal Masters Each-Way Tips: Rozner primed at Dom Pedro
Matt Cooper has three selections to back on the Algarve this week with the Betfair Sportsbook paying seven places...
Matt says: "Frenchman Antoine Rozner fits the latter category having finished 36th in both his two visits but he was also third after 36 holes on debut in 2020.
"He's also in very fine fettle having finished 16th or better in six of his last seven starts, a run taking in top 20s at the Czech Masters, Italian Open, Open de France and Andalucia Masters plus two fourth-placed finishes at the European Masters and Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
"Although he's not yet lasted the distance at Dom Pedro he has shown a liking for this sort of test."
Matt's bet: Antoine Rozner 1pt each-way @ 21.0
Portugal Masters First-Round Leader Tips: Warren to shine early
The DP World Tour heads to Portugal and Dave Tindall has three picks to be First-Round Leader at Dom Pedro Victoria GC.
Dave says: "Marc Warren was runner-up in 2017 after a tied 12th the year before and he's now made seven straight cuts at Dom Pedro Victoria GC.
"As for this market, the veteran was first-round leader in 2016 after a 63 and he's twice shot 64 since then.
"Strong starts were a theme in Spain recently and he was in the top 10 after 18 holes at both the Andalucia Masters and Mallorca Golf Open.
"Warren is striking the ball beautifully with his approaches and if the putts drop the 80/1 shot can challenge for the R1 lead from his 08.10 tee time."
Dave's bet: Back Marc Warren each-way at 80/1

Andy says: "The greens are larger than the DP World Tour average, and are also undulating, so putting usually plays a significant part in deciding the outcome of the tournament.
"This well-bunkered course has water in play on six holes, mainly on the back nine where there are some sizeable lakes and ponds. Opened in 2004, Victoria hosted the World Cup of Golf just a year later, and made its DP World Tour debut in 2007...
"Robert MacIntyre is the Hhighest-ranked player teeing-up and one of only two who are currently inside the top-100. Winner of the Italian Open last month."
Andy's Player to Watch: Back Robert MacIntyre @ 18.017/1
