I'm going to pick out a couple of trends related to these two teams to form a 60/1 Bet Builder.
Yes, it's a whopping price - and, of course, it's a long shot - but it almost certainly should be smaller.
First up, let's look at Brentford's ability to score from corners.
So far this season they've netted a league-high four times from flag-kicks with one of their corner takers, Mathias Jensen, chipping in with two assists.
Now the Bees face a side who have long-term issues defending set plays - only three teams conceded more times from such situations last season and they've already shipped two set-piece goals this term.
At 11/1, Jensen simply looks too big for an assist.
The second leg relates to Palace's attacking strength down the left.
You are probably already aware of Wilfried Zaha's ability to draw fouls, largely due to his dribbling skills, and he's already this season's most-fouled player on the 'per game' metric.
He is a doubt for this game, however, having missed Saturday's defeat at Manchester City with a knock.
But, even if he doesn't play, Palace have a decent replacement in a similar mould - Eberechi Eze heads this season's dribbling list and played down the left-hand side at the Etihad in the absence of Zaha. He'll get a lot more opportunity to get forward in this game.
In short, whoever he's up against, Brentford right-back Aaron Hickey looks in for a tough time and he has potential to be shown a card at 16/5.
The Bees' new boy is yet to be booked in the Premier League but he picked up 11 cards in 44 Serie A starts.
The choice of referee - Simon Hooper - could be better, although there's a fact well worth knowing about him.
In two of his three Palace games last season, Hooper booked the man up against Zaha.
He actually took charge of this very fixture and carded Sergio Canos, while when Palace faced Southampton, Toni Livramento went into his book. Both cards were for fouls on the Ivory Coast winger.
Use the Bet Builder tool to put the two bets in a double and you get a 60/1 shot. Hopefully I've made a decent case.
