Villarreal wrapped up our Bet Builder in style last night, as their 4-2 win over Espanyol gave them a lively (if a little nervy) success that featured the goals and corners we wanted. We've enjoyed Spain this week, but we'll head over the border to France, because there's a fascinating clash between Strasbourg and Lyon to be enjoyed in Ligue 1.
With games running out, both teams have reason to push for a win. Strasbourg are fighting for their Ligue 1 lives, and are only above the dropzone courtesy of goal difference. They have significantly improved of late though, winning three of their last five, including the last two against Ajaccio and everyone's darlings Reims.
Having a super strikeforce never does any harm, and Strasbourg certainly have one at their disposal. Veteran superstar Kevin Gameiro has netted nine league goals this term, while Habib Diallo has rattled in 17 goals, including a brace in the recent win at Reims. Senegal international Diallo is on red-hot form, having found the net nine times across his last ten league appearances.
Lyon are clinging to their European dream under Laurent Blanc, and wins over PSG and Lens this year do show what Les Gones are still capable of. Despite Blanc's perhaps undeserved reputation as something of a tactical dinosaur, Lyon are scoring freely, with 14 goals scored across their last eight games.
