Football Bet of the Day: River to wash away the visitors

All good things must come to an end, and our winning streak came to a halt last night, as Norrby let the BTTS part of our Bet Builder down by losing 5-0 at home to Falkenbergs.

We'll head down to South America now, because Argentina's runaway league leaders River Plate are up against struggling Instituto, and I fancy a comfortable home victory.

River have had to adjust to life without departed coach Marcelo Gallardo, who is their most successful manager of all time. He's prowling around Europe looking for a suitable landing spot, and in his absence, former Argentina and Bayern Munich defender Martin Demichelis is doing a fine job.

River are seven points clear at the top of the table after 20 league matches, and despite a mixed campaign in the Copa Libertadores, they still have a good chance of reaching the knockout phase. In the league they have won 15 of their 20 games, and they have the league's best attack. Eight of their 15 wins have been by a margin of two goals or more.

Instituto are in a relegation battle, and their away form is a big concern. They have lost their last five road matches, and the last three of those defeats were by at least two goals. In general, scoring goals is a big issue for Instituto - they haven't scored multiple goals in a league match since a 3-2 win at Boca Juniors in March.

I think 1.981/1 is an attractive price to back River to win by two goals or more on the Exchange's Asian Handicap.
