Monday Football Tips: Back Antonio to use his head

Just one point and one place separated these two last season and they both started off with a win this campaign, so they should again be not too far off each other come May.

West Ham were more impressive at Newcastle than Leicester were against Wolves, and the Hammers are narrow favourites here as a result. The draw would be the result I'd back here with the teams evenly matched.

You'd say with not too many goals given how the Foxes have been defending but these games have thrown up plenty of goals in recent meetings.

Leicester also allowed Wolves to get plenty of shots off and the likes of Michael Antonio will most likely not be as wasteful in front of goal if given the opportunity. The Hammers scored three times in both games as they did the league double over Leicester last season.

It's a tough one to call this, as Leicester were superb away from home last season - including in this game when they had 14 shots and largely dominated but managed to lose 3-2.

The home crowd should play a part - it's their homecoming after a fantastic season last year so they should get a boost from that, and that should at least result in plenty of gusto from the start.

With that gusto and with Leicester still missing Wesley Fofana and Jonny Evans there's the chance for Antonio in particular to get some joy - even if new signing Jannik Vestergaard gets a start.

Antonio had four shots against Newcastle with one on target - and all four coming via his right boot.

He's also borderline unstoppable in the air when on his game though, as he showed when he scored a header against Leicester last season.

Antonio had three shots in his last game against Leicester with all three hitting the target and two of them being headers - including his goal.

Antonio's heading ability and recent stats against Leicester fit in nicely with the fact the Foxes sat deep against Wolves and allowed 16 crosses to be put in - that defensive plan being used against the Hammers will give Antonio plenty of chances to win his aerial battles.

Antonio is 9/2 to get a headed shot on target on the #OddsOnThat specials on the Sportsbook, and there's no reason why he can't land that easily enough.
