Lithuania v Hungary
Tuesday 19:45 (Live on Viaplay Online)
Yesterday's qualifier in Brussels was abandoned for security reasons at half-time.
We're in Kaunas today for the Group G qualifier between Lithuania and Hungary.
The visitors are in good form and are strong favourites to win this one and book their place at Euro 2024. The hosts need the win just to maintain the possibility of overhauling Serbia and nicking second place in the group.
Lithuania haven't won any of their first three home games in Group G, but they have scored in all three: 1-1 vs Bulgaria, 2-2 vs Montenegro and 1-3 vs Serbia. They have now scored at least once in 7/9 home qualifiers going back to 2019.
Hungary won 2-1 in Serbia at the weekend to strengthen their position at the top of the table, but they remain vulnerable at the back. The Magyars have conceded in 10/12 away qualifiers since 2019.
Because the favourites have a leaky defence, we like the chunky price on both teams to score tonight. For a longer-odds punt, we'd be looking to try and identify individual goalscorers and throw them together with BTTS in a Bet Builder on the Sportsbook.
Hungary have an exciting front three. Barnabus Varga (3), Roland Sallai (2) and Liverpool's Dominik Szoboszlai (1) have all scored already in Group G. Varga and Sallai both scored in the weekend's win over Serbia.
Freiburg's Sallai - who popped up with a goal against West Ham in the Europa League this month - is averaging 2.8 shots a game across five Group G appearances (vs 1.6 for Varga) so we'd lean towards him.
Backing BTTS and Sallai to score in a Bet Builder pays out at close to 5.04/1.
