Bet Builder double pays north of 5/1
Hibernian v Hearts
Saturday 15 April, 12:30
I don't know about you but personally I've got bets I like to place on certain fixtures when they come along and the Edinburgh derby is one such game.
We're all aware how a derby can bring out the cards and that's certainly the case for Hearts right-back Michael Smith, who has received more cards against Hibs than any other team.
7/2 looks big
The Northern Ireland international has been carded in seven of his 15 starts against the Cabbage yet he's out at 7/2 for another in Saturday's Easter Road showdown.
In addition, Smith has a good recent card record - four in his last nine games for the Jambos - while referee John Beaton is a decent appointment for this bet. He averages 4.06 yellows per game which is above the Premiership average.
Beaton has taken charge of the Edinburgh derby four times and in two of those games he's hit double figures for cards.
The other card element worth backing in this fixture is Hibs over 1.5 cards.
They are one of the best bets in the UK for landing this bet this season and they've done so in 11 of their last 12 matches.
In the derby, they've received at least two cards in the last six.
Duo both in need of points
With both sides having hit a poor run of form in their chase for both a top-six finish and a European spot, a highly-competitive game can be expected.
Hearts' players have the addition element of needing to please interim boss Steven Naismith after the sacking of Robbie Nielson.
The Bet Builder double pays just over 5/1 and looks a nice way to approach this one.
