Valladolid v Sevilla
Sunday 17:30 (Live on Viaplay Sports 1)
In Spain yesterday, Villarreal hammered Athletic Bilbao 5-1 to bring home Kev's BTTS bet and complete a fine couple of days for our man. He's resting up today, before jumping into more Conference League action later in the coming week, so our shift starts a day early.
We're sticking in Spain, where relegation-threatened Real Valladolid are hosting in-form Sevilla this afternoon. The hosts are desperate for points and favourites to take all three, but we're not so sure about their chances...
Jose Luis Mendilibar has injected new life into Sevilla since he replaced Jorge Sampaio at the helm. The new boss is W5-D1-L1 in La Liga, having won all of his first three road trips. As well as beating top-half Athletic Bilbao 1-0, he's notched a pair of 2-0 wins over the teams either side of Valladolid in the table.
Valladolid have their last three home and away. Paulo Pezzolano's men are struggling at the back, conceding at least three times in three of their last four at Estadio Jose Zorrilla. They look like vulnerable favourites today and we're ready to oppose them on the Asian Handicap.
Going back to 2020, four straight Liga meetings of these two have finished 1-1. Sevilla won three in a row prior to that. With the draw in mind, we'll back the visitors 0 & +0.5, so we'll win on half our stake if the points are shared today.
