Sadio Mane could put his hand up for Bayern Munich tonight

Bayern Munich are hosting Inter in a Champions League dead rubber and Tobias Gourlay reckons it could be a fun night - especially for Sadio Mane

Bayern Munich v Inter
Tuesday 20:00 (Live on BT Sport Extra)

In Spain last night, Getafe held on to beat Elche 1-0 and leave us short on one side of our BTTS bet.

We're moving up to Europe's top table today as Bayern Munich host Inter in Group C of the Champions League. Both teams have already qualified for the tournament's next stage - at Barcelona's expense - and Bayern are guaranteed top spot in the group. With little at stake elsewhere, there is one proud record the hosts will be defending: Bayern have not lost a Champions League group game since 2017.

Bayern have scored 15 times in winning their last three Bundesliga games. Across all competitions they are unbeaten in 17 (W12-D5) at the Allianz Arena. But Julian Nagelsmann is missing some key players tonight, including first-choice keeper Manuel Neuer and CL top scorer Leroy Sane, with centre-half Matthijs de Ligt also doubtful.

Inter are also in decent form. Simone Inzaghi's men are unbeaten seven across all competitions. On the road in Serie A, though, Inter are an even W3-D0-L3 this season. They've scored and conceded in all six, with all six delivering Over 2.5 Goals and 4/6 getting to Over 3.5 Goals. But the split of outcomes is noteworthy: Inter have won 3/3 against teams now in the wrong half of the table; against top-10 sides, they've lost 3/3 - and conceded three times in each game.

The Nerazzurri's last Champions League road trip brought a 3-3 draw in Barcelona. With Bayern looking slightly weaker in defence than usual, the 7.06/1 visitors can get on the score-sheet, which could make for another shootout if Bayern are serious about defending their unbeaten record. Over 3.5 Goals is priced in tonight, but it has come home in 6/11 Inter CL group away games.

For the hosts and odds-on favourites, the onus is on attackers like Sadio Mane and Jamal Musiala to step up. The form book says they might well deliver: Mane has scored on all of his last four appearances at the Allianz, while Musiala has netted in 3/4 home and away. As a longer shot, we'll take Mane to continue his latest streak and add him to a Sportsbook Bet Builder. Mane to score and Over 3.5 Goals pays out at around 3.211/5.
