Steven Bergwijn can find the net for Ajax in Bulgaria

Paul Higham has a 15/2 Bet Builder treble for Ludogorets v Ajax in the Europa League with Steven Bergwijn backed to find the net.

Ajax are off to Razgrad on Thursday for the first leg of their Europa League qualifier against Bulgarian champions Ludogorets.

The hosts dropped out of Champions League qualifying after a 3-2 aggreagte defeat to Olimpija Ljubljana, so are naturally big underdogs against the Dutch giants.

They've won 12 Bulgarian titles in a row but Ludogorets have already lost twice in the league so are not their usual dominant selves - they look to be right up against it versus an Ajax side more used to Champions League football.

Leg 1: Ajax to win

It's hard to back anything other than an away win here with Ajax still a Champions League-calibre outfit despite being left behind a bit by PSV and Feyenoord in the league last year.

They were held to a 2-2 draw at Excelsior in the Eredivisie so that's a slight concern, and Ludogorets have been staging Champions League games themselves over recent years, so there's still some jeopardy here.

And Ludogorets have lost games against the likes of Ballkani, Olimpija Ljubljana and Astana already this season so 8/111.73 on an Ajax win seems a decent price.

Leg 2: Over 5.5 Ajax corners

The Dutch side should dominate possession and have had no problems at all so far this season turning possession into corners.

Ajax have had 23 corners in just two Eredivisie outings so far, 13 at home and 10 in their one away game.

So there's the possibility of them piling up a good few in Bulgaria, but we'll take them at the rather modest mark of over 5.5 away corners at 20/231.87 for our Bet Builder.

Leg 3: Bergwijn to score anytime

Steven Bergwijn scored 12 league goals for Ajax last season and already has two in just two games so far in this campaign.

Playing on the left of a three behind the striker in a 4-2-3-1 is paying off for the former Tottenham man who looks a real danger.

Still only 25 he could really come into his own this season back in the Netherlands for a second year at Ajax, so he's well worth backing for a goal in Bulgaria.
