Monday Football Tips: Back cards and corners at Cambridge

International breaks can often be a bit barren, but we have an intriguing League One contest to go at on Monday featuring a Reading side that was relegated last season and a Cambridge outfit who escaped the same feat by just a point.

The Royals' bid to head straight back up to the Championship has had a tough start with just two wins from five, leaving them on five points due to their one-point deduction.

The U's have won two out of three at home and with Reading losing their two away games this season then hosts are rightly favourites to pick up another three points at the Abbey Stadium.

Leg 1: Over 9.5 total corners

We'll start with corners and a total of 10 or more at 10/111.91 which is in and around what we've seen so far in three games at the Abbey Stadium this season.

We've had 10, 9 and 11 so far and with 14 in Reading's last away game then we shouldn't really have a problem converting here.

Both sides have had peaks and troughs but generally they're good at picking up corners but have also given their fare share away, so we're pretty strong on this one.

Leg 2: Over 2.5 Reading cards

To corners we'll add on some cards, and specifically three cards or more for visitors Reading, which is 19/201.95.

The away team at Cambridge has seen three cards in two out of three league games so far this season, and Reading can emulate them in a game they'll feel they have to win.

The Royal have had six cards in two road trips so far, two in the first and four last time out, so we're plumping for the average here.
