Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham
Thursday April 11, 20:00
Live on TNT Sports 2
With the Bundesliga title all-but wrapped up, Bayer Leverkusen can focus on trying to add the Europa League as a trophy double when they face West Ham in the first leg of their quarter-final.
Xabi Alonso's side incredibly are unbeaten all season, with the 41-game run all the more incredible given what happened in the last round against Qarabag.
Bayer fell 2-0 behind in both legs but somehow managed to progress with three stoppage time goals from Patrick Schik across the two legs to scrape through 5-4.
The Hammers were comfortable against Freiburg but this is a huge step up, and David Moyes is sure to sit back in this leg and hope to frustrate Bayer before catching them on the break with the likes of Mohammed Kudus.
It should mean, though, that Bayer have plenty of the ball and plenty of attempts at goal...
Leg 1: Florian Wirtz goal or assist
A leading light for Bayer has been Florian Wirtz, who has been in superb form of late and has either scored or assisted in 10 of his last 15 games.
He's just 4/51.80 for a goal or assist here but even if West Ham do park the bus somewhat then if anyone can find a breakthorugh it's the young German playmaker.
Leg 2: Patrik Schick 2+ shots on target
Czech striker Patrik Schick has scored 11 goals in 24 games despite missing plenty of time through injury.
He's 8/111.73 to score anytime but we'll take the 2/51.40 on Schick to have 2+ shots on target, which he's managed in three of his last four.
Schick may be forced to take pot shots if West Ham bottle him up but he's still a man to back to fire those attempts in on goal.
Leg 3: Mohammed Kudus 1+ shot on target
Bayer may dominate this game but West Ham have plenty of quality to cause them problems on the break.
Kudus has pace to burn and the quickness and dribbling ability to cause any defence problems, and Bayer certainly give you enough chances.
He's a big price at 7/52.40 just to have 1+ shot on target to add to the 31 he's managed already this season.
Kudus hit the target three times across two legs with Freiburg and he has plenty of volume with 37 attempts over his last 12 games.
